1.2 Description:
1.2.1 Abstract: This data set consists of raw 30-second Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite tracking data collected at several permanent NGA tracking stations worldwide. Tracking stations are referenced to WGS 84. These data files include range, phase, weather, and ephemeris data.
1.2.2 Purpose: This GPS data can be used for several applications. Applications include point positioning projects, navigation aids, and GPS survey projects.
1.2.3 Supplemental Information: The network of NGA GPS tracking stations are located at: Salisbury, South Australia; Bahrain; Hermitage, England; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Quito, Ecuador; Washington, D.C.; Beijing, China; Fairbanks, Alaska; Wellington, New Zealand; Pretoria, South Africa; and Osan AFB, South Korea. These permanent tracking stations continuously collect GPS data 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
1.3 Time Period of Content:
1.3.1 Multiple Dates/Times: The five original NGA stations (Australia, Bahrain, England, Argentina, Ecuador) have archived data available for one day of each week for 1990 and 1991. Archived GPS data is available for every day of the week for all stations from 1992 on. GPS data is available for Washington, D.C. from May 1995 on. GPS data is available for Beijing, China from October 1995 on.
